Backup Power Solution for Critical Operations in Eastern Europe

Project Overview 

A customer in Eastern Europe required a dependable backup power solution to support operations where continuity of supply was essential. The project involved the supply of two 30kVA canopied diesel generators, selected for their reliability, compact footprint, and proven performance.

The Challenge 

The customer needed generator sets that could be deployed quickly and provide a stable three-phase power supply. With grid reliability a concern, the equipment had to be robust, easy to operate, and suitable for standby or prime power use in demanding conditions. 

Availability was also important, as the customer required a solution that could be supplied without an extended manufacturing lead time. 

The Solution 

YorPower supplied two YTP30RSC 30kVA diesel generator sets, each incorporating a Perkins 1103A-33G engine, Leroy Somer alternator, and DSE7320 control panel.

Each generator provides 30kVA / 24kW at 0.8 power factor, configured for 400/230V, 50Hz, three-phase output at 1500 RPM. The units were supplied in canopied form, offering protection from the elements and making them suitable for outdoor installation.

To further support dependable operation, each generator was supplied with a battery charger and water heater, helping ensure the sets remain ready to start when required, including in colder conditions.
