Our Relationship
This wasn’t our first project together. YorPower has previously supported the same partner on schemes across the Midlands, building a strong working relationship based on delivery, technical support, and reliable equipment.
The Requirement
The client needed a trusted backup power solution, supported by a robust automatic changeover arrangement suitable for critical applications.
Priority: reliability, proven performance, and suitability for a commercial development environment.
The YorPower Solution
After reviewing the project needs and specifying equipment through our partner, YorPower recommended a Cummins C110 (100kVA) generator—selected for its reputation as a trusted and reliable choice for standby power in commercial settings.
To ensure safe and resilient changeover capability, we also supplied:
- 5 x ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
- Bespoke build including a single-line bypass to support life safety requirements
This configuration provides the ability to maintain continuity and manage critical switching requirements in a controlled, compliant manner—especially important where life safety systems may be involved.
Installation, Commissioning & Aftercare
YorPower is supporting the project beyond supply:
- Installation & Commissioning: Yes — scheduled to be completed over the next few months
- Generator Service & Maintenance: Yes — a 12-month service cover package was sold with the generator to ensure reliability, compliance support, and peace of mind from day one.
With the generator delivered and the bespoke ATS arrangement in place, the site is now ready to move into the next phase—installation and commissioning, followed by ongoing maintenance coverage through YorPower’s service support.
