Delivering a Fully-Specified 550 kVA Generator for an Energy Solutions Provider in Scotland
Project Overview
Last week, our UK and Dispatch team successfully delivered a C550D5Q diesel generator in an acoustic container to a leading Energy Solutions provider in Scotland. The 550 kVA set was engineered to meet precise requirements, ensuring seamless integration with the client’s power infrastructure.
Customer Requirements
The client requested several bespoke modifications to enhance the generator’s performance, reliability, and connectivity:
- Stainless steel exhaust system for durability and corrosion resistance.
- 800 Amp cable link box to simplify and secure electrical connections.
- Additional PMG kit to support improved voltage regulation and fault clearing.
- Custom distribution board for efficient power management on site.
Quality Assurance – FAT Testing
To guarantee that the generator met both our quality standards and the customer’s operational expectations, a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was conducted at our UK Headquarters. The customer attended the test in person, giving them full confidence in the system’s performance before dispatch.
Outcome
The completed generator was delivered exactly to specification. By providing a fully tailored solution and transparent testing process, we ensured the Energy Solutions provider could deploy their new power source without delay or concern.
