Yorkshire Council Data Centre UPS Upgrade
Modernising Critical Power Protection
YorPower recently completed a UPS replacement project for a Yorkshire Council, helping to strengthen the resilience of one of its two data centres with a modern, high-performance backup power solution.
The existing Socomec unit was removed and replaced with a new 20kVA YorPower YP-Conci Plus UPS, delivering improved reliability and efficiency for this critical infrastructure environment. The installation was supplied complete with 120 x 9Ah batteries, providing robust backup support for essential systems within the data centre.
A Future-Focused Solution
This upgrade forms part of the council’s wider commitment to maintaining dependable power protection across its operations. With one new UPS now installed and operational, two additional units are scheduled for installation the following week, further enhancing backup power capability across the site.
By replacing older equipment with YorPower’s latest UPS technology, the council benefits from a more modern and dependable solution designed to support business continuity and minimise risk in the event of mains power disruption.
Ongoing Support and UPS Maintenance
As part of the project, YorPower will continue to support the installed unit under a UPS servicing & maintenance contract, ensuring the system remains in optimum condition and continues to perform at the highest standard. Regular servicing and expert aftercare will help maximise reliability, efficiency, and long-term value.
Part of the Growing YP UPS Range Success
This installation is one of many projects involving YorPower’s new YP UPS range, which is already proving to be a trusted choice for organisations seeking reliable, high-quality backup power solutions for mission-critical applications.
