Celebrating 25 years of Brian and Ian

This week, we’re celebrating two remarkable milestones at YorPower: Brian Cosheril, our Head of Engineering, and Ian Townson, our Service Manager, have each been part of the YorPower Group for 25 years.

Their journeys have taken them through several chapters of the group. Brian began at Progress Group, then Power Plant Services, beforing moving on to PPSPower and now leads as Head of Engineering at YorPower. Ian’s path also began at Powerplant Services, continued through PPSPower and brought him to his role as Service Manager at YorPower.

Over the years, Brian and Ian have brought their experience and know-how to a wide range of complex generator and backup power projects. Their work has helped meet demanding challenges for clients, wherever the job has taken them.

Ian’s contribution to a major data centre installation and its ongoing management was significant, built on the strong relationships he developed. Both Ian and Brian have built and maintained exceptional relationships at key sites, many who we still work with today.

One memorable example of Brian’s commitment was a trip to The Gambia to work for a client, where temperatures reached 45°C. It’s a striking reminder of the dedication he has shown to the company and its customers throughout his career.

We marked the occasion yesterday at HQ with gifts and sandwiches, and a chance to celebrate everything Brian and Ian have contributed over the past 25 years.

A huge thank you to them both for their hard work, commitment and expertise. The knowledge they bring to YorPower is priceless, and we’re grateful for all they’ve given to the company over the years.
