Finalists at IWFM Awards for Change Management

We’re thrilled to announce that YorPower has been named a finalist in the IWFM Awards 2025 in the Change Management category, an award that was won by Lloyds Bank last year. This is a proud milestone that recognises the incredible transformation our business has undergone over the past few years.

This recognition is particularly meaningful as it marks the journey we’ve taken following the merger of multiple companies into one unified YorPower team. We entered the IWFM Awards to showcase not only the scale of the change but how we managed it — with transparency, collaboration and a focus on people at every step.

A Business Transformed

Since the merger, YorPower has grown significantly — not just in revenue and headcount, but in culture, efficiency, and shared values. Our most recent annual employee engagement survey confirmed that we’ve made measurable improvements across all key areas, from communication and leadership to overall job satisfaction.

People at the Heart of Change

What made this change successful wasn’t just a strategy — it was our people. We ran a company-wide consultation, engaging all employees to contribute their ideas, concerns, and suggestions. The feedback we received shaped many of the decisions made during the transition, ensuring everyone felt involved, heard, and valued.

We also want to say a massive well done to the team who presented our awards pitch — who logged and showcased our journey over the past year (obviously very well!). And of course, a thank you to all of the YorPower team who helped steer us through a period of significant change.

Whether we take home the award or not, being recognised as finalists is a great achievement in itself.
