YorPower ships over 300 small generators to Vietnam
July 19, 2022
It’s been an extremely busy few months at the YorPower and PPSPower headquarters, and in amongst the reorganisation of the companies, we’re delighted to have shipped over 300 x 6kVA petrol generators to our client in Vietnam.
The customer, which specialises in supplying a mixture of goods from electronics to power generators, required the generators to support the local police throughout Vietnam. They previously placed a similar order but required a different volume this time. After multiple conversations with the Vietnamese company, we created a bespoke petrol generator to meet their exact needs, which included creating custom vacuum-moulded panel faces.

Shipping 300 custom petrol generators didn’t come without its challenges. We spoke to Head of International Export, Jordan Kincaid about the project.
“Building any bespoke generator is always a challenge, which is why it’s important to listen carefully to the clients demands. In this instance, it was a slight redesign to a previous petrol generator we provided, which included vacuum moulding panel faces.
“Getting the materials for the product was also a challenge for us with the ever-rising costs in the industry. We were thankfully able to source the materials and honor the pricing without sacrificing quality, despite numerous increases to prices throughout the process.”
Group Managing Director, Stephen Peal, was also happy to see the 300 generators shipped to South-East Asia: “It’s always a positive sign when a customer returns to place such a big order,” commented Stephen. “We pride ourselves on great customer service and companies placing multiple orders is a great indication that we’re doing our job to a high standard.”
At YorPower, we specialise in commercial diesel generators so shipping hundreds of petrol generators was a unique project, although the team thoroughly enjoyed it.
