Norwegian Data Centre Project
October 7, 2019
YorPower recently dispatched two Cummins 1000 kVA generators fitted into YorPower built acoustic containers in order to provide backup power to a data centre in Norway. The in-house designed container attenuates 75dBA at 1m providing a significant reduction in noise pollution which is vital in data centres. The project was handled by Jim Riley – Lead project manager at YorPower. The acoustic containers were built with roof mounted exhaust silencers. An 8 hour internal fuel system was also integrated along with integrally mounted and enclosed ABB MCCB. YorPower also fitted the internal cabling, the consumer unit and auxiliary main for standby power equipment.
We were selected by the prestigious Norwegian data centre for our:
- Bespoke in-house design service
- End-to-end project capability
- Quick construction and delivery time (largest Cummins dealer in UK, readily available sets and parts)
- Excellent customer service
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the data centre industry
- Competitive prices
The data centre market is one which YorPower value and continue to gain reputation, and can promise expert levels of service and advice, no matter the application or scale of your project. Find examples of past data centre projects here:
